Welcome to my website! Here's a little about me:
I'm currently in the Single Subject Credential program at Cal State San Marcos and expect to complete the program in the spring of 2017. I'm working on an English credential and hope to eventually teach both English and AP Art History to high school students in the San Diego area.
As an undergraduate, I attended Mills College in Oakland, CA. During my time at Mills I had many great experiences, some of which include studying abroad in Florence, Italy, and taking part in Semester at Sea. Both of these travel experiences solidified my love of literature and art history, as well as developed my passion for global perspectives and multiculturalism. After completing my Bachelors, one of the few things I was sure of was my dedication to and love of Art History. To further develop my understanding of Art History, I pursued a Masters degree at Tulane University.
I completed a thesis on copying and emulation in the sixteenth-century Italian Renaissance and received my Masters in Art History in 2016. By the time I completed my degree, I knew that I did not want to pursue a more traditional Art Historical job in a museum, auction house, or gallery. Instead, I wanted to share my knowledge and excitement for both art and literature with young minds. To that end, I moved back to California and entered the Credential program. I truly enjoy working with teenagers and very much look forward to beginning a career in the classroom.
